Meet Dan Forrest, Our Executive Chef
Dan Forrest began his cooking apprenticeship with a pre-vocational course at the Gold Coast Institute of Tafe and finished it at the Whitsunday Islands with Group Training Organisation, MRAEL. Since receiving his Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment qualification, he also completed and obtained a Diploma of Hospitality Management, a Food Safety and HACCP certification and a Lead Auditor accreditation.
Born in Mackay, Queensland, Dan travelled abroad once completing his studies and found himself working alongside accomplished Chef, Bob Matthews, at French restaurant La Chaumière in Canada’s third largest city, Calgary. After moving back to Australia in 2005, Dan spent 12 months as Senior Chef with the Warner Village Theme Parks.
As Executive Chef of The Coffee Club Franchising Group, Dan is responsible for new product development, menu rollout each year and reconceptualising our ‘Good Food’ manuals with photo process maps and recipes. Admired for his fresh ideas and innovative spirit, Dan is dedicated and committed to ensuring Good Food is served across all stores.
