Tea is blended for the same reasons coffee is blended. It guarantee's a consistent quality and continuity in taste, flavour, colour and appearance. One blend can have between 10 and 30 different types of tea in order to achieve the required strength, character, intensity, profile, grade, density and of course the colour of the liquor.
